“Neftyanik” Palace of Arts

After six years of construction, Siberia’s largest multifunctional venue housing a theatre, a multi-purpose hall, a banquet hall as well as various smaller halls and studios opened in 2016.

Aimed at serving the general public, the new cultural centre of the Russian oil capital Surgut is a landmark of technological and cultural progress. Since its opening, the various guest performances by Russian and international theatre groups have enriched the cultural life of the city and region.

The centrepiece is the large theatre auditorium with seating for 1,200 guests. SBS Bühnentechnik supplied and installed all understage and overstage machinery as well as the necessary control system. The stage meets all the requirements of a modern cultural venue with turntable wagons, a rotating ring as well as double-deck and orchestra elevators.
